Sharp Airlines Regional Service

In October 2010 Sharp Airlines commenced services to Flinders Island linking Flinders Island with Launceston and Melbourne using a 19 seat Fairchild Metroliner. The aircraft is fast and reliable and the fully pressurized cabin and cargo area allows the aircraft to climb above most weather. It’s a 25-minute flight from Launceston to Flinders Island and just on an hour from Melbourne to Flinders Island.

2010 was the 20th Anniversary of Sharp Airlines. Since commencement from Hamilton 1990 they have grown to be a successful regional airline linking regional Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Sharp Airlines pro–active approach has lead to increased services out of Melbourne with the introduction of Sunday flights to Flinders Island during the summer and autumn period.
Sharp Airlines is the only RPT operator serving Flinders Island although there are a number of charter operator’s serving the Islands.
