Wildlife

See large numbers of wallabies, possums, wombats and the rare ‘blonde’ echidna all in their natural environment.

There are over 150 species of birds including bush birds, water birds and birds of prey and the endangered Cape Barren Goose visits the Island on a regular basis.

A special treat is an early evening boat trip to watch the shearwaters (mutton birds) returning home in their thousands to their nests on the outer Islands.
