The accommodation at Lady Baron was excellent and had everything that we needed. Lee Cox and his son Rob did a great job with the fishing both during and post the trip, where Lee packed the fish in such a way that it made it easy to transport back.  We had a great day with Jim, both touring the island and also some fishing from the beach which the boys thoroughly enjoyed. All in all the people were tremendous and genuinely seemed enthusiastic about looking after us.

We climbed the mountain and had absolutely perfect weather and generally really enjoyed the great scenery, history and lack of people. Those people we did meet were invariably friendly and happy to take the time to talk. The Furneaux museum was terrific. Technically it was closed but two ladies saw us arrive and opened up to let us in. I think most people would be unaware of the fascinating history of the island including the Aboriginal experiment. The vineyard was also great. We arrived and wandered around and eventually rang to locate the owner who was out tending the vines. He came in immediately and we had a long discussion, sampled his wine in generous proportion, and left with numerous bottles under our arms. We had a superb trip to Flinders Island and loved staying at Buck’s. What a treasure the island is! We saw so much of it and caught up with some friends we haven’t seen for a very long time. Malcolm had a very special birthday present and he loved it. Thank you so much for all your assistance.

We had a great time made better by the weather. I even swam at Trousers Point (without trousers) but that is another story. I must say that we absolutely enjoyed our time on Flinders, and we were taken completely by surprise by what we found there. Some of the highlights were: • Daryl’s Palana Retreat which, as a package, was fantastic – we could easily have spent more time in the north of the island. • Cray fish – we had a couple of monsters • The seascapes – especially around The Dock: our favorite walk was to Old Man’s Head. • The views of Mount Killiecrankie from the café there. • The total lack of a touristy atmosphere. • The availability of good set of local walking, flora and fauna guides at the newsagency A magnificent holiday and thanks for all the organization. The idea of the two houses first time up was a great one, both houses left nothing unsupplied so that living was easy. What a dream place to holiday thanks again. The holiday home at Lady Barron was just fantastic…in fact I have recommended your company and the home to anyone interested. We had a great time, and will be returning!

Thank you for organising our trip to Flinders Island. We returned back to Launceston this afternoon after a lovely three days. The Tavern was great. Our lunch and dinner at the tavern were great, especially the lobsters we had last night for our wedding anniversary. We had lunch today, before our flight, at the pub and it was a great meal too. Our car was excellent, clean, and the ladies looking after the cars were so lovely and helpful. I gather you know everyone that we met so please pass on our thanks. We have very happy memories of the Island.

Absolutely loved it – everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Accommodation people really looked after us and made everything easy. Max at Lady Barron General Store was very friendly – sat outside and chatted with them. Hire car people also brilliant in that they allowed them to swap the vehicle after a week because Belinda doesn’t like driving a manual.

Hi Linda, just to thank you and Michael for making our stay on Flinders so enjoyable. We have certainly fallen in love with the island and we will definitely be back on our next visit down under (Ian and Karen). We recently returned from a wonderful weeks holiday on Flinders Island. The Island is great place for an outdoor adventure. On the first day, as a part of our holiday package, we went on an all day, fully catered, four wheel drive guided tour of the parts of the island not accessible to normal hire cars. This gave us a great overview of the islands spectacular coast line, the rocky outcrops, untouched sparkling beaches and mountainous central spine. This set the scene for our daily activities that we accessed in our hire car over the following 6 days. The island is great for a wide variety of walks and for the more adventurous the climb of Mt Strezlecki, a fishing charter or visit to some of the many outer islands. As a part of our package Linda organised excellent accommodation for us. We enjoyed quality places for eating out when we didn’t feel like cooking. Flinders island is a hidden gem so close to home if you are looking for a week away or longer. Don’t forget to look out of the plane window as you approach Island to see the many islands and rocky outcrops that are the remnants of the ancient Victoria –Tasmania land link.

Really enjoyed the Flinders Island itinerary you put together for us. Everything went according to plan and we had a great time. Flights were good. Could have even spent another couple of days there. We were made very welcome everywhere

We absolutely loved our time on Flinders Island! It was so wonderful to revisit all the places that held so many special memories for us. And our stay at the holiday home in Lady Barron was the icing on the cake! It was truly fantastic - we were blown away by how clean and well-maintained it was. The attention to detail was impressive, and we appreciated the effort put into maintaining the property to such a high standard. It truly felt like a home away from home. We had such a comfortable and enjoyable stay that we're already planning our next vacation, and of course, we'll be booking with your company again!
