FITC Specific Tours

We offer customised tours for our clients. See below for some examples or we can design a tour to match your special interests. All tours are one day’s duration, led by a local guide, and include morning, afternoon tea and lunch.

Flinders Island Highlights

See the best the island has to offer in scenic attractions, walking and fishing. You’ll have the opportunity to walk on deserted beaches, view the magical rocks at the Docks with lunch at the beautiful Killiecrankie Bay.

A highlight of this tour is exploring the unique history of the Tasmanian aborigines and their resettlement at the historic site, Wybalenna or do your own research at the Furneaux Museum.

Wildlife & Wetlands

A highlight of this tour is the visit to Kate the wombat lady and the chance to cuddle (and photograph) a baby wombat. You will also meet wallabies and cape barren geese at the renowned Patriarch Wildlife Sanctuary. The wetlands provide an opportunity to see hundreds of swans; ducks and rare migratory birds close up.

Photography

Flinders Island is a photographer’s paradise. Come in spring or autumn to take full advantage of the light and colour at that time of the year. The orange lichen, the aqua water and the grey granite rocks along with the white sandy beaches make for spectacular photography.

This tour takes you to all the best spots and provides advice as to the best times to capture that special image.
